Comments: | hi i think that if your thinking about swapping out the engine its a good investment. i my self have a 2003 S-10 with a 350 with headers, carb, electric fans, 3 flu radiator, duel flow masters, and i made the back look like a 2003 Corvette and closed the factory one, and painted it 50th Anniversary Corvette Red, and i put 18" KMC Thunder rims on it. it took me about 8 month and $5000 to complete it. but its worth it. but try to get around putting headers on it they work good but burn gaskets way to fast if you race it make sure u get the metal one it'll last longer. amd if u go with a small block 400hp make sure its a 4-bolt main. |

Comments: | I think this is a cool site. I have a s10 with a 425hp 355 it runs a 12.60 with slow 60 ft so maybe they will get better. I also would suggest putting weld Draglites on your truck and a turbo 350 bucause those are two good changes that make my truck run better and look better. |

Comments: | I really appreciate the work you've done to set up the site. Anyway, great job, some nice rides featured. It gave me lots of ideas for mine. I have a 1997 Isuzu Hombre (Chevy S-10) that I'm ready to turn into a project. Have you ever heard of anything major being different on these rebadged S-10's? Which engine & tranny seems to "fit" easiest (or are they all about the same except for BB engines)? I'm considering a late model 350/700R (1998 on), then adding an underhood supercharger. I've had a 383 cu inch Chevy in another truck (full size GMC shortie) and it was a gas hog (7-8 mpg), and wouldn't pass emissions in Arizona. Then, I detuned it (heads, compression and cam), but added a supercharger, and it passed -- just barely. The supercharger made it a lot more fun as the response and torque was instant. The truck ran 13.7 - 14.0, depending on the amount of wheelspin, in the 1/4 with a mild engine and the blower. It ran 13.9 - 14.2 with a big cam, high compression pi |

Comments: | Advance Adapters has the motor mounts also. They are adjustable so you can position your engine where you need it. You set it differently if you plan on having a/c or not. Also,If your s-series came with a 2.8 ltr. you'll have to change your trans. anyway. The Bell is smaller on the 2.8 ltr. If you have a 4.3 ltr. then you can use the same trannie. If you use a t350, try to get one with a 9" tail housing so you can use the stock driveshaft. If not, you'll have to get a driveshaft made up. |

Comments: | I like the site. Very nice pics of some cool rides. The info side is nice also. My site is nowhere near as nicely done as yours, but it gives the basics. I now have a 700R4 in it, but I think I'm going to change from 3.73's to 3.08's in the rear. I enjoyed the site, and have a merry x-mas! |
